Welcome to StopFracture - Strengthen Your Bones, Empower Your Life
At StopFracture, we understand the unique challenges that come with maintaining bone health as you age. Designed specifically for women over 45, our program provides a targeted approach to strengthening bones and reducing the risk of fractures, so you can stay active, confident, and independent.
Why Focus on Bone Health?
As we age, maintaining bone strength becomes crucial. Women over 45 are particularly at risk for osteoporosis, which weakens bones and makes them more susceptible to fractures. Our StopFracture program is scientifically proven to combat bone loss and build strength, providing a safe and effective way to protect your bones and overall health.
The Onero® Program
Our StopFracture program is based on the Onero® protocol, a high-impact, evidence-based exercise program that has been shown to improve bone density, muscle strength, and balance in women. It’s safe, effective, and specially tailored for those looking to stay strong and reduce fracture risk as they age.
Places are limited, so please register your interest below and we will be in touch to answer your questions.
What is STOP FRACTURE?
STOP FRACTURE! stands for ‘Strength Training for Optimum Prevention of Fracture. Refocusing A Clinical paradigm That Underutilises Recognised Effective therapy’.
(That’s a long sentence……we know!)
Essentially, STOPFracture is a new study, designed by Griffith University, to help more people in our community get access to the ONERO Program. You can find more about the ONERO Program HERE
Why is it so important to use specific exercises (like Onero™) to treat weak bones (Osteopenia and Osteoporosis)?
Weak bones, or Osteoporosis, is a big problem that can really affect your life. It can make you lose your independence and increase the risk of serious injury. Some medicines can help make your bones stronger, but they can have side effects that people don't like. So, many people prefer to improve their bone health through their lifestyle, like exercise.
But, not all exercises are good for your bones. Griffith University in Queensland found that a special kind of exercise called high-intensity resistance and impact training (HiRIT) is really good at making bones stronger. This type of exercise is also known as Onero™. However, if your bones are already weak, you need to be careful when doing these exercises, so it's important to have someone guide you.
Even though Onero™ has been proven to work in studies and real-life, not many people know about it. This means a lot of people who could benefit from it aren't getting the help they need. We want to change this by making sure doctors and other health care providers know about Onero™ so they can recommend it to their patients who need a safe and effective way to strengthen their bones.
